The goal of the ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance (ISAGCA) is to advance cybersecurity awareness, education, readiness and knowledge sharing. Thanks to advocates who give their time and expertise to write and talk about vital topics related to operational technology (OT) cybersecurity, the International Society of Automation (ISA) and ISAGCA are driving conversations around the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards for automation and controls system cybersecurity.
At the beginning of October 2024, we counted 13,874 mentions of ISA/IEC 62443 in the international press — almost doubling our goal for the year. We've worked with our partners and media to generate awareness of the standards and their wide applicability and utility, and we're very glad to see that many automation professionals are discussing ISA/IEC 62443 on their own.
There have been many more media placements this year than we have room to feature here. Our intent for this blog post is to celebrate the wide variety of contexts and well-regarded publications in which ISAGCA subject-matter experts have shared their insights.
Let's take a moment to recognize the significant growth in ISAGCA's awareness and outreach work as we look back at a small sample of media placements so far in 2024.
