Spotlight on ISA’s Cybersecurity Standards Implementation Conference

The International Society of Automation’s (ISA) upcoming 2022 Cybersecurity Standards Implementation Conference (CSIC), taking place on 26 October 2022, is an event dedicated to providing solutions for the growing cybersecurity issues that affect multiple industries. Utilizing the adoption of the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards, CSIC will help you harness the tools and insights you need to obtain a comprehensive education about how to protect the world’s critical infrastructure.

This month, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) kicked off Cybersecurity Awareness Month, following a presidential proclamation about the importance of both public and private sectors working together to raise awareness about cybersecurity. CISA, along with the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA), presents this year’s theme of “See Yourself in Cyber,” highlighting the actions that everyone can take to raise the baseline for cybersecurity across the U.S. and beyond.

The ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards, featured prominently throughout the conference, defines the requirements and processes for implementing and maintaining electronically secure industrial automation and control systems (IACS). As both an assessment and best practice guide for security, it provides a holistic approach to the cybersecurity challenges we face today, bridging the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), as well as process safety and cybersecurity.

Picture1-4The 2022 CSIC sessions will explore the lifecycle of OT cybersecurity projects and the roles and responsibilities of end users, product suppliers, system integrators, and maintenance providers. Experts will present on topics such as:

This year, the event will have both a virtual and in-person component. As a hybrid event, the live audience will serve as the location for the virtual conference, allowing interactions with program speakers and participation in live sessions, tabletop exhibits, and more. The on-site event will take place at Wood Group in Houston, TX, USA. Limited attendance and a separate registration fee will apply on a first come, first-serve basis.

This all-day hybrid event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT. To learn more about the conference and to register, please visit the 2022 CSIC website.

ISA offers virtual and hybrid events, including webinars, conferences, and ISA Connect Live, across a variety of topics. Learn more about ISA's upcoming events for 2022.
